The College of Graduate Studies within the Southern Technical University discussed a master’s thesis on ((The Correlation of Hormonal and Metabolic Disorders with the Level of Vitamin D in the Serum in Women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome in Dhi Qar Governorate, Southern Iraq)) for a graduate student (Shaalan Hashish in the College of Health and Medical Technologies Department) Pathological analysis techniques.The thesis included the study of 90 samples, including 60 sterile married women suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome, and 30 married women in good health for comparison.
To compare the two groups about vitamin D and its relationship to hormonal and metabolic disorders in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
The relationship between the two groups was found There is a direct correlation between anti-müllerian hormone (AMH) and the hormones (progesterone, testosterone, luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone.), as well as glucose and an inverse correlation with vitamin D and estradiol.
And low-density fats
There is a direct relationship between vitamin D, LDL and estradiol
Also, there is an inverse relationship between vitamin D and anti-mullerian hormone (AMH).

The aim of the thesis was to find out the relationship of vitamin D deficiency and its effect on hormones and lipids in women with polycystic ovaries.
Where it was found that there is a close association that vitamin D deficiency is a major cause of hormonal and metabolic disorders (fat and glucose).
